Marvels of Provence and Luberon Hilltop villages

7 days / 6 nights | Total distance : 380 miles | Average daily distance : 62 miles

Start city : Avignon | Ending city : Aix-en-Provence

Bordered by Mont Ventoux in the north, the Montagne Sainte Victoire and the Alpilles in the south, the Provence is one of the most beautiful areas in the world. The scenery is breathtaking : like a patchwork quilt, the purple fields of Lavender stand out among the red and yellow ochres of the Luberon. The architecture of the towns and villages blends in with the local color, reflecting the history of the area from Roman times to the present. When you visit Avignon, Orange, Aix-en-Provence, L'isle-sur-la Sorgues, Vaison-la-Romaine or Roussillon, you'll understand why authors like Marcel Pagnol or Sommerset Maugham and painters like Cezanne or Picasso chose to live in this fascinating area.

Explore Cathare Country and discover the monuments of its rebellious past : Montsegur, Peyrepertuse and Queribus. Drive through the valleys of Ariège to Canigou for a breath-taking experience. Spend the night on top of the Pic du Midi and gaze at the stars and then, come down via the famous pilgrimage town of Lourdes, to Pau, the birthplace of King Henry IV.

The Cevennes : from Mont Aigoual to the sea

7 days / 6 nights | Total distance : 420 miles | Average daily distance : 105 miles

Start city : Nîmes | Ending city : Montpellier

Languedoc is a region of contrasts. It is a long strip of land stuck between the mountains and the sea. On the one hand, sandy beaches and family resorts, and on the other, mountain ranges : Montagne Noire and the Cévennes. Our itinerary will take you to the ancient Roman Pont du Gard, the Arènes of Nîmes and the historic center of Montpellier, but we'll also take you to the more hidden treasures in land. You'll visit the cave Des Demoiselles and the spectacular Cirque de Navacelles, then, it's up to Mont Aigoual and Camargue, with a stop at the Arènes d'Arles and the extraordinary town of Aigues-Mortes. This is a package with several trips built into one.
